Hi,

Does anyone know how to get a gentle exfoliant in a charcoal face soap? I'm curious to see what my options could be.

Thanks!

Thank you! Do iron oxides when used in charcoal soaps cause a lil exfoliant?
I currently only use charcoal and find my soap to be very smooth and full of lather but no exfoliant.

I second a salt bar with charcoal and tea tree.

Salt doesn't exfoliate either, not sure why it was recommended. Exfoliates in soap require you to rub the soap onto the skin, not sure how practical that would be on the face but I've found extra fine ground pumice to be very gentle. Finely ground oatmeal is another option.

I just suggested it as an alternative. I don't like scrubby on my face. I should have stated that.

Actually salt is a natural exfoliant. You could use fine ground oatmeal, I actually add oatmeal to my salt bars
