I just have a question:

With the colorants in ITP swirling, can I use my dry powders (I use ultramarines and micas) and just pour my emulsified soap batter into the cups, mix in well, and transfer the batter that way, or do the powders need to be mixed in with an oil before adding in the batter? Sorry if I sound confusing!!

They work best if they've been mixed in with oil first. Otherwise you can get a lot of chunks of powder in your soap.

I like to mix my oxides with a little bit of glycerine and just stir really good before adding the soap batter or there will be little specks in the swirls, and like Genny mentioned oils work good too.

I use a little of the blended oils from my batch, add the colorant, blend and then add some emulsified soap and blend again. Of course, sometimes I get lazy and just add the colorants to the soap. I don't mind specks.
