Fall scents

Oh how I love fall scents! I whipped up my pumpkin pie soap a few days ago and my soap drying closet smells amazing I've been known to stick my head in and take a big sniff now and again lol!

I just got my fall and winter scent order today! Hope mine come out as nice as yours. Did you use pumpkin puree?

In last years batch I did but I found it to be drying so I opted not to use it this year.

Interesting, I used it once a couple years back and I don't remember it being any different. I will have to pay closer attention if I use it this year.

It could have been the oils and amounts I used too, not the puree itself. I have about a hand full of recipes that I like so I stick to using those unless someone has an allergy, then I'll work with something different.

Tip for cutting - put your soap on the side so that you are not sliding the brown part over the white tops to avoid colouring.

I thought of that after I had already cut the bars Oh well, I do have a soap planer so I'll be able to clean them up.

I am glad I am not the only one guilty of stealing smells of curing soaps!

I made my pumpkin pie soap the other day... I too am guilty of stopping by my soaping room to sniff a time or two!!! How could you not? Your soap looks good enough to eat!
