What made you pick your avatar/ username?!

I love dragons

Dragonkaz ... has been a nick name I've used for a long time, due to my love of dragons and my first name being Karen. My darling hubby always called me Dragon, and it was a term of endearment.

My avator is a dragon that is special to me in many ways. I plan to have her tattooed on me sometime soon ... just have to save some money. Maybe I could sell soap ...

Second to dragons I love the colour purple ... so a purple dragon is as good as it gets!

I wasn't able to upload my usual avatar of a grey rabbit as its too big for this site (I love bunnies - I have a white one called Ellie). So I uploaded a hibiscus as I have this one growing in the garden and love the colour. My name is the last few letters of my full name.

My username is the one I use on our own forum. The reason for it is that my hubby, who is a blacksmith, uses the name Weyland - a magical smith from Norse/Saxon mythology. Weyland's wife was Hervor the swan maiden who was a spinner (like me) so I had to use that name.
I haven't decide on an avatar yet....needs to be soapy :wink:

I use Journey11 on all the forums I frequent. I suppose I ought to mix it up a bit, but I'm sure I'd forget which one went where if I did! My horse's name is Journey. My b-day is on the 11th. Also, I kinda like the idea of being on a "journey", since I use the internet mostly for researching new things I want to get into. I try to be always growing, always learning new things!

I've always had trouble choosing usernames in forums...
But last month, while trying to find a name for my newborn daughter and seeking an opinion on an issue, I registered to a parents forum.
On the registration page I thought "oh no, I'll take ages to find a free username I like!" but there was a warning next to the box begging newcomers to not choose usernames with "yummymummy" in it because they had hundreds of them. So I thought "ok, that's cool, I'll just go by delicious" - hey, I didn't choose yummy... lol.
That was that. Quick and easy.
So when I registered here, I tried it and it was free.

I am brand new to soap making, in fact, I have yet to make any. But I've been thinking about starting it up for a while. My mom makes homemade soaps, and I love them, but she always makes the same kinds, and doesn't vary the scents/oils/etc. I am excited to start up my new hobby, and have already learned a lot from reading through posts on this forum and various online articles and vids.

I recently got married, and now that the wedding planning is done, I need something else to occupy my free time! My hubby brews beer, so I thought I'd try my hand at making something too.

Oh, and my avatar is Ferdinand the bull. He and I are like peas in a pod. I am a Taurus, and will avoid confrontation when possible. I really don't wanna fight, and just like Ferdinand, I just wanna sit in the shade of a big ol' tree and smell the flowers!

My username is TheSoapSmith I chose that as a kinda play on words. My last name is Smith, and I thought it would be cool to have soapsmith kinda like blacksmith, you know a specialist for making soap. Though I can't say I'm a specialist, but I would like to make all kinds of soaps and experiment. Making soap is relaxing.
Oh yeah and my avatar is because I like horses and the pic of my cat and dog snuggling didn't look right when shrunk down :roll:
