I have a batch of lavender oatmeal soap that have been drying for 3 weeks. Ideally, I like my soaps to have 4-6 weeks drying time before they are used.

Would putting bars of soap in the oven at 170 degrees evaporate any remaining water in the soap?

I'd not recommend it. Do you have a dehumidifier?

It's not just the water content that's at issue, though. I'm no Kevin Dunn, but my sense is that the half life of saponification takes a good while to complete and that the cure time also has to do with the chemical reaction.

Is this for personal use or for sale? If it's for you, give it a go and see what you think.
