Shiny finish?

I want to make cheesecake cupcake soaps with a shiny transparent red "berry glaze" on top. How would I achieve the shiny glaze part with soap?

Use melt and pour soap.

Would an amber color melt and pour work well with red colorant, or would I need a clear one?

Amber is probably fine. Test a little with your red colorant and see if it gives you a color result that you like.
