Anybody got a nice essential oil blend for an oatmeal and honey soap. I have tried eucalyptus and lemon. My husband loves it but I would like something more softly scented which would suit the name of the soap. The obvious choice is a honey FO, I know, but I'm trying to keep my ingredients as natural as possible.

thank you Esehr, how do you get the orange scent to ho though? I have used orange in other soaps and it's smell great at first but seems to fade after a couple of weeks. i am thinking of giving up on citrus blends for this reason.

I use an orange/patch blend (about 5% patch to 95% orange). then I blend that 50/50 with satsuma. rocks.

actually, I should have said that I scent mine with an FO - Oatmeal Milk & Honey.

But when trying to accomplish an orange scent in soap with an EO I anchor it with patch (at about 5% of the EO) - and if I need it to be very strong I add half FO as well.

Even so, the EO simply isn't as substantive or stable as an FO.

Thanks for the tips! I hadn't thought of using a combination of EO and FO.
