My supplier just told me he's now getting this new brand of olive oil instead of Hermes, mainly because it's closer to pick up. I checked online, found out it's 40% canola oil.

Yikes! what a change this will make to my 50% olive bars. Not a happy camper today.

I'd let my supplier know that I could no longer buy OO from him, since its adulterated. And I'd buy it at Costco.

Jeez that sucks :( Are you going to keep using it? I think I'd also find my OO elsewhere... although I'm biased because I don't really like canola in soap :)

that's bad. is your supplier even aware it's a blend? are you sure there aren't different "varieties" tho?

yea, while I have nothing against canola and use it in my charcoal soaps to get that glossy look, I am particular about where I use it. And I use it only occasionally.

oh yea, I see - they do not actually offer plain OO. just in a blend. oh that SUX.
