Has anyone tried pine in an soap? I am looking to do a simple soap with a pine EO added. A Christmas, woodsie thing.

pine

i love a little cedarwood, red cedarleaf or balsam fir in my soaps. it has been my experience that a little goes a long way! i use about .5 oz ppo-more or less. most of the regular "pine" e/oils to me have a kind of pine-sol smell, especially if it is really strong. there are lots of f/oils out there that are xmas evergreen blends too.
www.camdengrey.com has some nice f/o and e/o's, and they're fast.

Brambleberry has a few nice pine scents.

Last week I made a batch with Christmas Forest - smells just like going and picking out a christmas tree.

Got that in a sample from BB .. very nice Christmas-y scent ... I couldn't stop singing Jingle Bells after I smelled it. I know .. I'm a little "off" :)
