I've been perusing some of the topics on this site and was so excited to see all the helpful information given by soap-making veterans. Sometimes these sites can be a little overwhelming.
Anyway, I'm new at this hobby. I've been slowly gathering my equipment and getting ready to buy product. Thankfully, I have a supplier about ten miles away with most all of the basic stuff. I ordered some essential oils from Wholesalessuppliesplus, thanks to a post I read here.
My main question is about coloring. I want to get ready for Valentine's Day and make some red soap. What's the best kind of dye to use that won't color the water if used in the bath? And, what's your recommendation as to the best place to buy?
My other question is about the layering. Do you let the first layer set up before adding the second?
