I was thinking about making a lotion bar which it seems I have all the ingredients for except tapioca starch which I am having a hard time finding :( Does anyone know if you can substitute tapioca flour for this???

Thanks, Deborah

Some people say Corn starch is bug food, I have used it in small personal batches and they were fine.

You don't need to add a starch. Are you trying to make it less oily feeling? Just use dryer feeling oils, or add some IPM.

Yes, I believe tapioca flour is essentially the same thing. You can get tapioca starch at an asian or international market if you have one close by, I picked up a pound of it for 99 cents. Other good options are corn starch or arrowroot powder.
