I have been making Christmas pudding soaps as gifts so far l have found that Brambleberries"Almond Biscotti" smells as close as l can get to the proper smell.Anybody have any other oils that come close?

Not the best picture but here is one of my Christmas puddings it has rainbow glitter scattered over the top but it doesn't come out on the photo

haven't a clue what a christmas pudding is, not to mention what it smells like - but like she said, sure is pretty!

Sorry l thought it would be an American tradition too.It is in the UK,Australia.New Zealand etc.Its the pudding we eat after the turkey and ham on Christmas day.Usually served with Brandy custard or cream its a very rich dried fruit based pudding which is wrapped in a pudding cloth or a steamer and boiled in hot water for 4-5 hrs.Here is a sample of a very simple recipe:-
* 500g mixed dried fruit
* 1/2 cup brandy
* 2 cups plain flour
* 1 cup sugar
* 2 teaspoons mixed spice
* 2 tablespoons margarine
* 2 teaspoons bicarb soda
Most recipes are a lot more involved ,the recipe l use is twice as long with a lot more ingredients.Its the kind of pudding that is so packed with calories you should only be eating it on Christmas day anyway :)
