Can anyone tell me how to use these vintage dippy molds?

I think I put wax on the end and stamp envelopes etc with them. Or do you stamp tapers or pillar with them? Won them on an eBay auction and am intrigued.

From what I could glean off the net, they're purpose seems to be for making sculptured wax flowers. I found this copy write entry for Fiesta Dippy here: https://books.google.com/books?id=QUMhAQAAIAAJ&pg=PA1895&lpg=PA1895&dq=fiesta+dippy+molds+how+to+use&source=bl&ots=IuekRtzzJH&sig=ACfU3U3c0r_Lk2u_DgMQMCruS4y-vfubAg&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjUq5KT8e7gAhUPHzQIHYJNCy8Q6AEwE3oECAIQAQ#v=onepage&q=fiesta dippy molds how to use&f=false which has the slogan, "Sculptured wax flowers the easy way with Fiesta Dippy".

And then I found this blog page on making retro crafts using Fiesta Dippy here: http://amyalessio.com/?p=3459 Make sure to read the response under the blog entry.

Hope that helps!

Edited to add.....I just found this as well: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/00119253.1973.9935640?journalCode=vzde20 It has a little ad blurb about it that says the molds are dipped into melted wax and then into water in order to create pre-shaped and pre-cut petals and blossoms that are ready to attach to candles.
