Calendula soap

Just made my second batch of soap. This time a calendula soap for my friends with skin problems. I infused olive oil and made tea and used dried petals in my soap. I colored the soap with red palm oil.

I think it looks good.

So close to trying my first goats milk soap.

I bet you can't wait to try them out. I love calendula soap. It was the first cp soap that I made and it's still my favorite.

I can't wait for them to cure. They smell good too. I am really hoping they work on my husbands psoriasis.

I took her calendula soap recipe and combined it with her sunflower soap recipe. So is my combination:

Olive oil 25.541oz (
Coconut oil 76 deg 16.527 oz
Mango butter 3.005 oz
Sunflower oil 4.507 oz
Palm kernel flakes 9.015 oz
Red palm butter 3.005 oz

Water 23.408 oz
Lye 9.043

I infused calendula petals with olive oil about 8 oz and use that as part of my olive oil.

I made sun tea with calendula petals with the 23 oz of water. I froze it slightly just in case it wanted to burn.

I added 1 oz of calendula petals at trace

I added 1-2 tablespoons of tamanu oil at trace

EO at trace if desired.
