I have a few powder botanical extracts I would like to use in my cold process soap recipes, but am not sure how....can I use astaxanthin in a cold process recipe and how?

I've only used liquid botanical extracts in lotion, shampoo and conditioners. I've always thought they were too delicate and expensive to possibly be destroyed with lye.

When I use powders of any kind in cp soap, I always hydrate them first so I'll get a smoother blend. With these powders I'd make a test bar or two to see how it behaves and go from there. I'd sure like to see what you create and if you can share how you used it, that would be very kind of you.

I do the same as @GGMA0317 when adding any kind of powder directly to my soap batter. If I know the powder will be scratchy (turmeric, annatto), I infuse it in some of my liquid oils, and then strain off the powder before using the oil.
