    Storm in Melbourne, Australia

Hope the other Melbourne members are ok. I had to drive through the storm and never want to do that again. Bedroom almost completely flooded but my family and friends are all safe as far as I know and that is all that matters. Nothing to be done now but wait for the rain to go away. Big cleanup...

Don't Look - Mars Bar Slice

http://www.exclusivelyfood.com.au/2006/ ... ecipe.html I'm going to make these! :D To give to the kids on Halloween. I wonder if patty pans would work? With a Malteser on top as decoration. Of course, I could just give the kids a hygienically wrapped mini Marsbar. I'll have to...

    Lavender Lard Soap from 2008

I was just around at a friend's place before and he had one of my lavender/lard/coconut soaps at the sink for hand washing. It was sensational. Creamy, bubbly and the scent was lovely and had held well for over 3 years. He had used it for shaving this morning and loved the way it left his skin...

    Annatto Seed Coloured Soap

A few months ago, I made up my regular recipe but used Annatto Seeds to colour the soap. I used a piece in the shower this morning and was surprised at how much harder this bar is compared to my regular bars. The only difference was the Annatto Seed colouring. Anyone else notice the hardening...

    Australia - Aldi Blueberries

Aldi had Blueberries on special this week and I picked up some trays that the berries are packed into. They stack, are not too large and will be perfect to air a bit of soap. It's worth keeping an eye out for things like this but I get so excited that it's silly. Oh, I got some blueberries too...

    Cost of coconut oil

I usually get my coconut oil from Escentials but I've been checking prices today. What's with NDA charging $275 for 25 litres? They obviously don't want to sell any CO. Escentials is $66 for 20 litres. HUGE disparity.

    Patchouli from Escentials in Australia

Hi Aussie girls (and guys), Escentials have several Patchouli oils and I'm just wondering if any of you have used any of these ones? The last time I ordered Patchouli, I got it from Heirloom and I was just wondering if I could do better price wise without sacrificing quality. I want to get a...

GM Cream & Honey Soap from 2008

I went looking for one of my older soaps today and chose this one. In the photo, you will see the recipe, the front of the soap, the back of the soap with ash and a piece that I just cut now so you can see the inside. This soap smells sweet and edible. It has no added fragrance. NO DOS...
