Has anyone used urea in lotion bars? My mother has psoriasis and was prescribed a lotion that has 10% urea 10% Shea butter and 10% Olive oil. She wants a lotion bar because it's hard for her to get to the last bit in the bottle.
If anyone can give me any advice on this I will really appreciate it.

I have not, but I suspect it would make the consistency more like a salve.

You could use a tin or an open-mouth jar to make it easier to apply. Ditto for a conventional lotion.

I think a salve might be better than a bar as a solid bar can tug at the skin a bit when applied.

Thanks! I'll tell her that a salve might be better for her, even though the psoriasis is only on her scalp so far, I think it's better to avoid any damage and what you say makes perfect sense.
