Tobacco soap

Hey soap fam,

Just wondering the best way to add tobacco to soap ?

And if you can add the leaf to soap also?

I would like to add some cherry tobacco .

I'm not sure how it works in your country, but if I were to add tobacco leaf to my soap in the US I would expect some folks from ATF and FDA to come knocking on my store. There are several 'tobacco' fragrance oils that are quite nice.

Plus also, dermal toxicity.. nicotine is used as a pesticide.

No, I would NOT recommend tobacco 'tea' either as you would be concentrating the toxins.

Seeing as you're in Canada, here's some info on prohibited and restricted ingredients in cosmetics. Nicotine, found in tobacco, is a prohibited ingredient.

I know there used to be a Cherry Tobacco Fragrance, but I do not remember which supplier had it or if it is still available.
