If I am doing multiple batches in a row I won't even clean my stick blender. Unless I used a really strong EO/FO. I have great SS bowls and silicone scrapers where I can get my bowls almost completely clean when pouring my soap. I hate using paper towels but am afraid of lye and regular towels. I leave my bowls til the next day and just fill them with hot water and let the soap dissolve, then dry them off. Once my utensils have been cleaned off, they go in the dish washer. Lye is meant to be a drain cleaner, so there are no issues there.
