So I just made my first batch of soap using the kits from hobby lobby. Anyway, I started off with a white microwavable base, and I was adding black oxide dye to try to make it darker. Well, the instructions on the bottle of dye said to using sparingly, and I ended up using half the bottle before I realized it. But now I'm wondering if my soap is safe to use with all that dye in it?
I managed to get it to a gray color, but definitely not the black I was aiming for. Any suggestions? (Its a liquid black oxide dye specifically for soapmaking.)

What was the amount of Soap to dye?

The cosmetics license I have in the UK says maximum 3% of dye in a soap mixture.

the white base is made with titanium dioxide, the entire bottle of black would not make it black. try it with a clear base.

I don't know if the bar is safe to use, but it will probably make a yucky grey lather :(
