Slippery Elm and St. John's Wort??

A while back, I bought some dries slippery elm bark and st. John's Wort. How can I use these in soap? I've searched google, but all I really find is links to suppliers to buy more. I can't find where someone has really used it in soap.

I've been thinking about soaking them in water and using as a 50%-100% water sub. What properties might they bring to the soap?

I put mine in my oils and gently heated the oil to infuse the herb, then strained the oil.
