Silicone mold turning brown?

Good morning!
Im sorry if this has been discussed before but a quick search couldnt turn anything up for me. I have a silicone mold that has never been used and it has developed some sort of brown residue on it. The color originally was yellow. When i use my finger and a decent amount of pressure it will wipe off. Any clue as to what it is or why it happened? Can it be prevented? Thank you

Where did you buy your mold? If it was from a well-known supplier, you may be able to return it. If it was from China, I don't know.

I bought it from mann lake. Its actually for wax.
