Just been googling about the shelf life of oils. Mainly I'm concerned about my Palm(no stir) and coconut. Is it true that the shelf life is 6 months to a year? I bought 50 pd containers, I hope that I can use it up in a year.

So that means that my bars of soaps have a shelf life of only 1 year???

I don't think so. I have a bar that's a couple of years old that is still great looking and smelling. It's CO, PO, OO, and Castor. The ones I had trouble with are 100% OO and one that had a large amount of shea. Can't speak to the keeping qualities of CO and palm themselves. I buy them 35 to 50 lbs at a time, but use them up in about 3 months.
