Rooto Brand 100% lye drain opener

What do you guys know about this kind of lye for making soap?

I use that brand too...it's perfectly fine to use for soapmaking.

after I posted that, I was assuming that's what you meant? As long as the bottle says 100% lye, it's ok to use for soapmaking. I get my lye at Menard's and Rooto is the brand they carry.

Yes, thank you. It is about 1/2 the price of what they have in th4e HDWE store.

rooto is what i use all the time i used the powdered -- my local hardware store carries it just for me they also carry the liquid form, but have never tried it.

Green with envy I have go online nobody carries it anywhere close to me. I need order some running low.

I use Rooto all the time. Actually just picked it up last night at my local Ace Hardware. You have to ask for it because it is not out on the shelf. I always take in a few bars of soap for them and the manager will mark it down to the lowest possible price for me. Got it for 3.50 a bottle yesterday (1 lb each)
