I like to make a masterbatch of my oils (for my hobby soaper self, I'm talking about less than 5 lb of oils), because then I can make small batches to try fragrance or technique with a minimum of hassle. I like adding goatsmilk powder and colloidal oatmeal to my soaps, but I'm wondering if it can be done at the masterbatch stage. Would the powdered goatmilk mixed into the oils go bad if it sat around for a month or so? I'd love to have it all ready, but I don't want to waste the oils if the goatmilk would go bad. Anyone have any thoughts on it?

Thanks for any info!

I personally wouldn't do that, as I think it could contribute to early rancidity. As an alternative, could you masterbatch your powdered ingredients in small, single-batch-sized containers?
