Last night I opened a 7# container of Palm Oil. It had been sitting about 6 months and was noticeably separated. I melted the contents completely and stirred it so everything was once again combined. After, I poured it into 4 separate but equal smaller containers.

Question I have are the smaller containers likely to separate again if not used for a few weeks to a couple of months? Do I, or should I, plan on always remelting any container of Palm Oil, no matter the size, in order to re-constitute it? How many times can you re-melt it before it's to many times?

I always remelt mine when I first recieve it, then I never remelt the whole thing, just smaller portions as I make my soap batters. I dont think it will be effected if you keep melting it, but not necessary.
