My name is Sis and I have been making soap for over 30 years, but I am new to the current soap world. My grandmother taught me how to make soap for my home and family and I have always done it her way until a few months ago when I was asked to make some soap for a store in town. I went online and discovered this whole new world! LOVE IT!!! But boy are you guys freaking me out. I had no idea so many things could go wrong and ways to make soap could be so complicated. I'm looking forward to asking questions and I will share my grams way for anyone that wants to try this old (and easy) way to make plain soap. Maybe it could be updated for today's soapers. Again, nice to meet you all.

Welcome Sis!

It's nice to have you here. With all your experience I'm sure you'll have lots to share with us.

Please remember to post photos, cause we love soap pics!! :)

Hi Sis, I am fairly new here to the forum myself. I just started making soap 8 months ago (and love it), and found this sight just a month or so ago. I am sure with your many years of soaping, you will have much to share. Your name caught my attention as my nickname as a child was Sis. Welcome, Bnky

Hello and welcome! :)

I would love to hear how your Gram made soap....I collect ancient soaping and cookbooks online and love to see some of the old recipes.
