Hello all

Brand new soaper
Yet to make my first batch

I have an 8 litre slow cooker
Moulds for 7 litres of soap
And a well ventilated space

I should get my first cook done within a week, wanting to make our own activated charcoal soap.

I recommend making a very small batch to start. That way, you don't waste so many ingredients if something goes wrong. Also, please measure by weight, not by volume.

A 450g to 500g batch is a great place to begin. That will give you 4-5 bars of soap that you can test to make sure you like it. It also allows you to make a few different recipes to compare, without being completely overrun by soap.
