:D 3-3/4 oz. (i rounded to 3.75 = 3-3/4)

please, i mean no offense, but are your scales very accurate? are they like for diets-kitchen scales. one of the most critical parts of soapmaking is accurate measurements!

i use a digital read-out postal scale that i got from staples that measures up to 11 pounds in both pounds, ounces and grams.

Krissy, if I'm correct, your scale only measures in the following fractions:

1/8 = .125
1/4 = .25
3/8 = .375
1/2 = .5
5/8 = .625
3/4 = .75
7/8 = .875

Any measurements between these numbers, you will have to guess or round up/down. This won't necessarily be detrimental to you soap, but needless to say you won't always get exact measurements.

thanks! i was thinking that as long as i use the 5% that a smidge off wouldn't harm my soap. good to know.

i am off to make my first CP batch of soap...wish me luck
