Hello from Jamestown, NC.
After lurking for a while and finding answers for many of my questions, I figure it must be time to say hello.
So, Hello!
I made my first few batches of cp soap about six months ago. What I didn't give away is about gone so it's time to make more.
While I do have some thoughts about starting a business, it is a crowded market around here for small soap businesses. So I will have fun making soap for my family and friends and learn the craft better for a while.
Today I made myself a couple new loaf molds and unmolded the two batches of soap I made yesterday.
Both batches shown are 55 Olive oil, 30 Coconut, 10 Shea, 5 Castor, 7%sf.
The dark one is made with a porter in place of water. The recipe was supposed to be a oatmeal stout beer soap but I used a porter I had on hand instead. Pretty happy with the color. Time will tell how the FO settles out.
