No it doesn't. To me bay laurel smells like an electric train set when it has been running for awhile. That is the best explanation I can come up with. It is quite a weird smell. However I made a bay rum soap and it mellows out to not smell like an electric train set but that was with clove and orange and maybe something else, sorry my notes aren't with me. Eucalyptus to me would be really bright sharp and medicinal while bay laurel is really dark and low. Hmmm . . . it is weird trying to explain smell.
That's a great description, "dark and low". I can almost smell that! I don't care for the Eucalyptus smell, you're right, it smells sharp.
I was toying with the idea of making an aleppo soap, just because. It sounds "historic", I guess. I didn't know if I should order laurel EO or not. I have a ton of other EOs I could use.
