I'm so happy for you and your family. I hope that this time she just continues to get stronger and her health improves.
Ohmygoodness...no rest for the weak or the weary. I'll keep ya'll on my prayer list. Warm hugs to you and her.Well, she is back in the hospital. This is a nightmare... My fright of running out of money to care for her is quickly coming to reality.
On a slight positive side we got the flooring installed in our new house and take up our first load next week. Sadly, no garage in the near future.
Hello. I have kept my trap shut through all of Ceryl's woes, not that she wasn't in my prayers/positive thoughts, however, just a question (nurse here) have you and Cheryl looked int support groups based on her symptoms? Many times those groups can give suggestions on ways and where to turn next.Well, she is back in the hospital. This is a nightmare... I totally agree with you Mommawolfe! Cmzaha, since Cheryl can't connect with anyone I would Google for support groups like mommawolfe suggested. You would be amazed at the help the folks give each other. I did a presentation of one of my particular soaps that I make for a dear friend that has Lupus and she took me to her group because it was the only soap she could use that didn't wreck havoc with her skin. It was an amazing group of women who really cared for each other and helped to try and solve problems amongst themselves that they couldn't find answers for from the medical professionals. It was very eye opening!Hello. I am having an issue (nothing like Cheryl), in my eyes "doctor error" I have a fake shoulder that has never stopped hurting, year after year I have gone to my surgeon telling him this. He does an xray, pats me on the head and tells me there is nothing wrong. This last time, I wouldn't leave his office until he did further testing...as of right now, my rotator cuff muscles (what's left of them) have severe fatty atrophy, which is as bad as it gets. Had he listened to me 4 years ago, something could have been done...I totally agree with you Mommawolfe! Ahh, easy in theory, however, all a second third or fourth opinion or surgeon will do is talk to my current one, compare notes, and tell me exactly what my current one is saying. I am a nurse, as well and nightmares abound. They all stick together and covered each other's tushies, just my opinion and past experiences, of course...If it were me, I would never go back to that surgeon again! I had worked in hospitals the first 20 years of my life and let me tell you, the things I heard would curl your hair. When we retired out of State I thought I vetted our internal medicine Dr. very well, went to the "right" medical schools, went on with a fellowship to a great medical school but he killed my husband by not knowing the symptoms of a heart attack! This Dr.was in his late 30's or early 40's! The day we saw him I could tell he was under a lot of stress, there were patients all over the clinic and even in the hall outside his office. My husband died 45 minutes after leaving that office and no matter how much CPR I gave him he was not coming back. The worst day of my life. So if you have any gut feelings or concerns about your current doctor leave.
