How to add/use menthol crystals in CP soap

Hey everyone ,

Just wondering the preferred method on adding menthol crystals to CP soaps ! Also what percentage you like to use to have best possible outcome !

Any information on using menthol crystals would be great and appreciated .

Bramble Berry recommends 0.5 to 2 percent, melted in the oils before adding the lye solution. A few years ago I made this recipe from the old SoapQueen site, but with my own oil blend. The fragrance with 1 percent crystals was very light and not long lasting, but IIRC the soap was nice and had a slightly different 'feel' — not sure how to describe it, maybe it was the 'cooling sensation' they talk about, but I don't know. A minty EO or FO would be good to bump up the scent, I think. Good luck with your research!
