HI ALL,
JUST CURIOUS, HOW CLEAR, "GLYCERINE" MELT AND POUR SOAP PRODUCED? IT SEEMS THAT THE ONLY WAY TO GET CRYSTAL CLEAR SOAP IS TO BUY IT FROM A MANUFACTURER. IS THE FINAL PRODUCT KNOWN AS M&P CONSIDERED HP OR CP AND IS THERE A WAY TO MAKE IT AT HOME?

THANK YOU

I make transparent soap at home. It's very time consuming, but pretty. I think I would rather just use a good clear MP base when I need a clear soap, but that's just me. I only made the transparent to say "I did it".

There's a good book I used, you can get it in the library, its called Making Transparent Soap, Catherine Failor.

I purchased that book and its very nice, color pics, and walks you through the process.

The 1997 printing of that book doesn't have any color pics

. But the information in it is still good

The final product is neither CP nor HP, it is considered M&P and commonly called *glycerin soap*.
