I am wondering about the usage of milk in creams/lotions. I have a formula which has about 65% of milk in it. I have seen all the lotion/creams formulas which mention not to add more than 20%.

Can you please tell me the reasons why you should not add more than 20%?

I guess with higher amounts of milk you'd need to add huge amounts of preservatives to keep it from spoiling...

It's a serious preservation problem- spoilage.

Milk should never be more than 12% of your liquid in lotions or creams. Anything more than overwhelms the preservative.
