Biz Registration/HazMat

I am trying to register a business, and there is a question regarding storage and disposal of hazardous materials. Would lye be considered a HazMat in this circumstance? The question after it says that if so, the biz might need to get a permit from Environmental Quality. What to do?

That is what I am thinking, but I had not heard of anyone else needing to go through Environmental Quality.

Yes, it is a class 8 corrosive.
