Just wondering where others get theirs. It seems so expensive where I bought it last time and I NEED more! :shock:

What have you had the most success with for a gardener's handsoap, oatmeal, coffee grounds or cornmeal? How much PPO would you use of either and what scent would you find most attractive for it? Florals? Citrus? I need to get some made, I promised I'd have it this spring! TIA

How do you use yours? I can't get mine to dissolve. I've been putting it in a cup, using either water or oil to dilute before pouring it into the oils and lye. It's the powder from BB and says you can use either. Not having much luck with it!

ok, i have read books, watched videos..my color will NOT go below the surface of the soap. I'm using the oxides from MMS and mixing with glycerin, then mixiing into some of the oils before adding. I can color a whole batch in the pot, but when i try to swirl in the mold, it just stays on top...

How cold is it safe to store soaps? I have an uninsulated closet that bumps out into the cold storage in this 100 yr old house. Can cold temps damage the soap, or do I need to find some shelves?

After I dissolve my lye I am cooling it , and it starts to get little 'floaties". It was clear before...is this going to cause lye pockets? or is it normal? Its just little specks you can see, but its different than before I dissolved it. It doesnt go all away with more stirring.

do you discount water when using pumpkin puree? Or just add it, like you would oatmeal?

Has anyone made pinetar soap, and how is the smell? What percentage of pinetar did you use? Grandson has exzema and I heard this is good for it. TIA

I keep seeing distilled water in recipes...we live on a ranch 110 miles from town, and our water comes straight out of a spring...is this ok to use for soaping, or do I have to buy water? :?:
