I made my regular recipe of soap, but it looks like it didn't totally gel this time...I didn't like the way it looked, as it was even kinda streaky when I cut it, so I rebatched it, but now it has a few random light spots (just random small ones) through out. There is no zap. I tested until my tongue bubbled! What are the spots, and what were the streaks? I had mixed it well, split the batch and colored 1/2. The colored half is fine, although softer, I think because I mixed glycerine with my color. What IS this??

in the initial log (CP, right?), the white streaks can be caused by unmelted fats, bits of stearic acid, or other things. if you took a picture it makes it easier to say.

in the rebatched soap, or in HP, lighter colored spots are often just drier/more cooked soap that you stirred in when you scraped the sides of the pot.
