hey thanks for the reply. i was hoping there was a herb that might have a somewhat buttery smell. ive been searching but only found one that said it had a background nutty smell.. of course i didnt write down the name. :? maybe someone will post an idea. peace :)

I believe its peppermint and tea tree. Ive never had my straight up peppermint tingle by itself but maybe it would at higher quantities. Most of the expensive shampoos that advertise as tea tree also have peppermint in them and they tingle. definitely let people know the soap tingles b/c...

ive been using paint buckets.. i do a test spot by placing a couple dots of water/lye solution on the lip to see if the bucket color will come off. I got a bit of yellow color coming off from the orange buckets from home depot.

3rd the green clay. i use calcium bentonite.

Did you notice color or other changes prior to the smell?

the boys in my family had those.. lucky for me i never got hit. :O)
