I wanted to make my soap today and the weather is saying we're in for some snow and we don't usually get that here. They're saying up to 8" and if that happens we may lose our power. What I am wondering is this. They say wrap the soap after you pour it in a quilt so it will slowly cool off. If we lose power it might get pretty chilly in here and I am wondering if that will mess up my soap making it cool to fast? Do I need to wait? I've been waiting and waiting so I could learn more and know a little about what I am doing. So I am anxious to get it made. :)

Hi Rose! I know about the power being out lately! A lot of people on here don't gell their soaps at all, actually putting them in the fridge or freezer to prevent it. If your power does go off, you might want to try to prevent gell by putting your soap somewhere very cold.
