    Soaper's Choice shipping question

Shipping is based on individual weights so if the shipping charge for one 7 lb bottle to your location is $5.00, then multiply $5 x how many bottles you are ordering and that will be your total charge. You can either order by phone or by the internet. Your choice.

    Where Do You Cure Soap?

Mine cure on plastic shelving lined with some kind of holey-type mat on them. They are in a spare bedroom. I have read that curing on metal racks can lead to dos.

Chance to Brag about your Packaging

Are you looking for ideas, still keeping gifts in mind or for selling? This may sound bad, but for gifts, who cares? They'll see it when they open it. Now for selling, that would be different.

Seeking the SUPER CREAMY magic ingredient

I say, since you have a cream separator, USE IT! I milk my own goats, too, and my soaps are really creamy and I don't use cream. Maybe, as suggested, a different combo of oils? Cut back some on the CO? I'd kill for a cream separator. It's just not in the budget right now.

    raw soap splash in eye

I got lye in my eye a few months ago. I forgot to where my safety glasses when I was transferring crystals from a 5 gal pail to smaller containers. Had my gloves, but no glasses. Just didn't think. Flushed, flushed, flushed and then the ER flushed 4 times. My eye is ok. After that, I was...

Discussion about mold and way to unmold.

I am no expert, but try coating your mold(s) with mineral oil instead of grapeseed oil. Mineral oil will not saponify, while grapeseed oil will. With the silicon mold and gel, I have read that some have a harder time reaching gel. Try sticking them in an oven on low heat (140) for an hour...

I have to say, just because it's somebody's first post, doesn't mean it is their first batch. Now, back to the OP, good luck to you!

Annatto Seed Soap Making (Pics Included)...

I have had excellent results with Alkanet Root. A nice lavender color every time. Perhaps you are not using enough alkanet root? The first time I used it, I only infused it for a couple of hours. After that, I let it sit in a mason jar. Results were the same each time.
