    Tapioca starch

I've been using rice flour and there is a richer feel in the lather.

    HP Advise needed!

Thanks fellow soapers I thank you soapers for all of your suggestions in every avenue of soaping there is. Because of you all, I love HP. I follow similar format to Crombie. 3%SL and full liquid-38%. Takes same amount of time to harden with my recipe; it is worth a try. HTH SoapPoopette8-)

    BrambleBerry.com's Black Raspberry Vanilla

I just soaped Brambleberry's BRV a couple of weeks ago and had no discoloration at all. Not even acceleration; plenty of time to play. Also I soap with coconut cream but still had no discoloring. SoapPoopette;-)

just made my first order from Daystar

Yes you can definitely pick up the anise; some licorice too but don't give up on it right away. I didn't think I would like it from the description or OOB but I was pleasantly surprised once I put it in soap. It really smells nice. HTH SoapPoopette 8)

just made my first order from Daystar

The Absinthe is quite a different scent but I really like it. I think it is one of those fragrances that just grows on you. It is a hard scent to describe but overall, I would keep plenty of this on hand. No A and the discoloration is very minimal (beige or a tiny bit darker). SoapPoopette 8)

CHAOKOH COCONUT MILK, AND GV BRAND SHORTENING QUESTIONS!

Hi Christina, You should have no problem with the coconut milk; I've used it before and had really nice bars with creamy lather. The GV Shortening you bought is good too. On SoapCalc, under the list of oils, you will see one listed that says: -WalMart GV Shortening That is the one I...

They do offer sample packs. Scroll all the way down on the home page and you will see it; I do believe you can get 6-2oz samples for 23.50. Their scents are really nice. :) SoapPoopette 8)

Lard facial bar w/clay(s) and no CO (added boring pics)

I use lard for my facial bars and have not experienced any clogged pores. It is so mild/gentle on my skin and it leaves my face feeling clean and smooth. I hope you like it too. SoapPoopette 8)

I have that happen to me a lot as well. I use coconut milk and coconut cream. Haven't figured out why but the good thing is that it does fade away and the bars look normal. SoapPoopette 8)

    Question re: using corn oil

I use 10-20% at the most. Other oils I combine it with are olive, palm, shea butter, castor, pko, and even lard. 8)
