I made some! It is so smooth and creamy. Of course I just took it out of the mold but still very nice. I thought I was going to add strawberry FO, but it was really Red Apple from Bramble Berry. I don't think I used enough though. It is a very light scent. Is there a calulator to tell you how much FO to use.

Anyway since this was my first batch with this recipe I poured some without fragrance, then added the fragrance and poured some more , and then tried my first lab color out. I wasn't sure hoe it would turn out since the soap was really yellow before adding the color, but it turned out better than I expected.

I used a couple different molds: pop bottle bottoms, plastic cups, and cup cake carriers from the bakery. moved from CP

hey, look at you! great job! they look wonderful, and what a pretty pink you achieved! congrats!

about f/o's...it has been my experience that (besides the challenge of scents that might morph or fade,) if the scent is faint in the bottle, then it will most likely be the same way in soap...soaping at 33% water, with strong scents I generally use 3/4 to 1 oz per pound of oil and for lighter scents I use a bit more, maybe another 1/4 to 1/2 oz per ppo.

Brambleberry actually has a FO calculator you can use. Although in contrast to what heartsong said (though I normally would totally agree) I went heavy with a wild mountain honey FO because I thought it would be a more delicate scent and holy cow is that now overwhelming! Still a nice scent but surprisingly powerful.

I've noticed that a lot of FO make the soap batter a bright yellow color but most of the time it seems to mellow out.

Your soap looks awesome. Creative use of bottle bottoms!

Very creative use for molds! and love that labcolor. What is the name of it from Brambleberry? and CONGRATS on the first batch

Well Done! Look really nice and creamy. I really like your molds - the pop bottoms look like they'd be excellent for a massage / lotion bar mold, and the cupcake carriers look just like toy tractor wheels - if you made a charcoal soap they'd be every little boy's dream :)

WOW, they are great, you are very creative..the one serving yogurt containers make great molds too, salt bars work very well in them.

Bright Cherry High Ph

Originally my daughter wanted cherry soap, but when the fragrance came in she decided she liked the apple scent better. She is 5 and hasn't liked the smell of any of my soaps yet. So far she is excited about using this one.

Since this is my first time using lab colors can any of you tell me if they will stain soap dishes or bath tubs? Maybe a little late to be asking but still wondering.

Thanks for all the complements! I can't take credit for thinking of the molds. People on Pinterest have thought of everything!
