Wooden planer?

I have been looking into finding a planer, I would love a wooden one or even spec to get my husband to build me one. I have searched and searched without much success, anyone know where to find info like this?

I got mine on etsy. I'll look for the link but if I remember correctly there are a couple of sellers on etsy that have a wooden planer
