Using titanium dioxide and micas

I just received my first order of micas and am excited to start using them. Can someone tell me if, in order to create lighter shades of a particular color, do I simply use less mica powder or do I mix it with some titanium dioxide to whiten it a bit?

You can do either or both. It will depend on how white your soap base is to begin with.

Depends on the color. If you add TD to Blue, you'll end up with a pastel Blue...if you add TD to Red, you'll end up with Pink.
