using coffee grounds for exfoliating in soap

When adding the coffee grounds to the soap which is better to use, already ground or fresh. I use the fresh brewed coffee as the liquid.

Hi Mary-Jane! I use ground coffee in all my coffee soaps. I only use coffee that has been brewed with distilled water. If you use coffee that has not been brewed it will sort of bleed in your soap. Sometimes I use coffee as my lye water, sometimes not, depends on if I want my whole soap to be brown.

I use used coffee grinds. I find it's a bit less scratchy. I use coffee as half of my liquid usually.

I use grinds that have already been used... Not sure I could convince my husband to give me unused ones
