I’ve only used it a couple of times, at the recommended amount and gelled. It is bright red! I think in the soap I made for the inlaid design challenge which was a solid red soap I had pinkish lather at first. ENTRY thread for the March 2020 challenge: inlaid soap design.

I just got this last week but I haven’t used it yet. I’ve always found red so intimidating lol
I have it as well but haven't used it yet. I'm not able to soap right now. 
I love it! I have noticed it takes a little more oil to disperse than some of my other micas. And it is potent, unless your soap usually turns out yellow you'll probably just need the lower range of the recommended amount.

I have it and it works nicely. However I have noticed that it is hard to clean out of the plastic beakers I use to mix it with oil.
Agreed. It's a very fine-grain Mica. It's one of the ones that will absolutely try to stain, but can't quite because it's Mica.
I have used it a few times. It looks pinky at first but is a true red in soap. It doesn’t bleed which is a big plus.

I agree with Dibbles. Love the color. Worked great for Watermelon Soap but has a faint pink lather.
I would love to try that and make a "Canadian" themed soap with a maple leaf embed, now to work out how to do that...
Check into inlaid design techniques. There was a challenge here on this forum, as well as the Soap Challenge Club, so there are probably youtube videos you can watch as well.

I used Trial By Fire for the first time in Monday. It is a true red - not orangey despite how it looks before mixing. Perfect for Christmas, Valentine, and maple leaf soaps.
@Dibennett Someone else just posted a soap with a maple leaf embed - was it in the picture thread or the Soapy Thing thread? I believe that person used a maple leaf column mold.

I just bought this last week for my candy cane soaps. I havent gotten it yet....so glad to hear that it sounds like the red i want

Thanks for this thread. I have been having trouble with red and brown in my soap. My reds turn orange and I never know what I am going to get with brown. Does anyone else have trouble with brown?
Use cocoa powder for brown! It works great!
I got my first order from them a few weeks ago - not the red but some other colors. Was delighted to get a little card with the order from Ryan Gosling who said he paid for the order and made me coffee! Lol! I hear Nurture has a series of these little cards they send. It made my day!
