I know i brought this up before, but really need help. I always make coc, palm, olive and never had any problems. Then i ran out of oils and tried some different recipes, with canola, shortening(soybean), and safflower, which one of these could make my soap have an odor?

What does it smell like ?
How long ago did you make it ?
I just took some black chai tea soap out that I had made months ago , when I first made it smelled like soap  , now it smells kind of sweet and fresh. So they do change over time ,hopefully for the good.

i made lemongrass eo soap 4 wks ago, with coc, canol, crisco, olive, it smells like lemon, but faintly like something else, like stinky feet? this happened to another of my batches, it since i changed recipes and now using other oils, its gotta be canola or crisco

That is strange , I have soaped using both of those oils and never noticed a smell after they cure. I would let it cure some more , 4 weeks isn't very long.
