Can I make a body/ hair wash using Shea butter and or avocado oil? I bought in bulk and would love a recipe using them. I have a batch using avocado cooking currently and going on 40 hours in crock pot and still testing cloudy, is this normal? Does avocado test cloudy or do I still keep cooking or did I waste all these oils.heres what I plugged into the lye calculator
33 oz sunflower oil
14 oz coconut oil
8 oz corn oil
5 oz castor oil
8 oz avocado oil
16 oz water
12 oz lye
Any advice on current batch is much appreciated! Also any recipe on adding Shea

So I haven't had any responses yet and was at my whits end because i need my crock pot back so here's what I did.... After another dilute test it wasn't as cloudy so I added sugar still a little cloudy, kept stirring as if it would magically clear up. Haha so my hubby says I wouldn't bathe in a brown mess add color and see what happens.....and the award goes to hubby I have clear pink soap! I have no idea how a few drops of dye cleared mycloudymess but it did! To the batchiadded color stirred then added water to dilute and sofar beautiful clear pink soap yeah!!

Would have replied sooner but didnt see this. Sorry, no advice on your recipe or why it was testing cloudy. I also dont use corn or avocado in ls, but i dont know of any recipe that would need more than a few hours of cooking. Glad it cleared up for you!
