I bought what I thought was white palm kernel flakes in a brown paper bag at a discount Amazon outlet store. The bags were not labeled and now I am thinking they may be soy wax. Is there a way to tell the difference? I have already used some in CP soap and there were no problems with the soap, but I could be wrong about what it actually is! Oh, brother.

Contact the seller on Amazon. Does your soap have lots of bubbly lather? Palm kernel flakes should produce bubbly lather.

I'd make one bar with just the flakes. If its palm kernel, it will really lather up with big bubbles.
If its soy, it will be more of a creamy lather
